The Quinnipiac Chronicle

Welcome to the Chronicle 2001-2002

Welcome to The Chronicle 2001-2002. The transition may not seem evident to you as a reader, just as long as we are providing the campus news each week.
However, when you look at the way that the new executive and editorial board sees it, it is the beginning of a new era. We can’t be more excited.
As the new Managing Editor of Journalism, I will be responsible to help find stories that will be run in the newspaper each week. So, if there is anything that needs to be told, or anyone that needs to be recognized, don’t hesitate to bring your idea to The Chronicle.
If there is something you want to say, or something that you want to learn more about, become a Chronicle reporter. I speak from experience when I say that it feels great to have someone react to your writing. It may be a positive reaction, or it may be a negative reaction. No matter the kind of reaction, it is a great feeling to know that someone is interested in your writing.
I will be the first to admit that Quinnipiac University is a great school. However, I will also freely admit that we do have our problems. Through The Chronicle, the readers have an outlet to learn about the situations on this campus, and also to give their opinion about them. However, to help make this outlet even stronger, we need your help.
Remember, there is no experience necessary. I basically started from scratch when I came to Quinnipiac. With the help of the executive and editorial board, I learned what I needed to know, and got the hang of working on a newspaper quickly. I am sure that it will be the same for many of you also. Hey, you’ll never know unless you try.
So, why don’t you join us? You’ll get some serious college experience, which will eventually help you when you make your way to the “Real World.” What’s even more important is that you’ll have fun doing it. The “legacy” of 2001-2002 Chronicle has begun….and the best is yet to come.
