Quinnipiac women’s soccer has clinched a spot in the MAAC Tournament, following its 2-1 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The Bobcats are currently the No. 2 seed in the conference behind the Fairfield Stags, who Quinnipiac fell 1-0 to in the MAAC Championships last season.
As of publication, Quinnipiac sits undefeated in conference play with a 6-0-4 record. Fairfield also sits undefeated, at the time of publication, with a record of 8-0-2.
The Bobcats faced off against the Stags on Sept. 24, where the matchup ended in an intense 1-1 tie.
Thus far, the Bobcats have been dominant in play, outscoring their opponents 21 to 8, while earning 82 corner kicks to their opponents’ 43. If Quinnipiac can hold onto its No. 2 spot, it will earn a bye in the first round, facing off against the highest remaining seed on Nov. 6.S
Quinnipiac has two matchups remaining in regular-season conference play, facing off against the Iona Gaels on Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. and wrapping up its season on Oct. 29, taking on the Manhattan Jaspers at 2:30 p.m.
