Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey defenseman Chase Priskie was selected by the Washington Capitals with the 177th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.

In his freshman season, Priskie compiled 4 goals, 22 assists, 26 points, 2 PIM, and was +16.
The Washington Capitals Development Camp begins June 28th at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va. Although his NHL rights belong to Washington, Priskie will continue to play for Quinnipiac in the upcoming 2016-17 season.
Priskie joins Connor Clifton (ARI, 133rd overall in 2013) and incoming freshman Karlis Cukste (SJ, 130th overall in 2015) as the only NHL-drafted members on the current Bobcats roster.
