QU honors championship-winning men’s ice hockey team

Thousands of Quinnipiac Men’s Ice Hockey supporters welcomed the team back to campus during a rally at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Quinnipiac and Hamden residents alike came together to celebrate the Men’s Ice Hockey team after winning the Frozen Four tournament in Tampa, FL. Faculty and students sat in a rally led by University President Judy Olian, with words from Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, and head coach Rand Pecknold. There were words from the team members themselves including Zach Metsa and Jayden Lee. The team came together to honor Michael Torello, a former member of the men’s ice hockey program.
