Kerry is the best candidate

John Kerry is my man for President. Unlike what some Republicans may try to convince you, Kerry is a strong leader who will fight to ensure our freedom, safety and status in the world.

Unlike President George W. Bush, Senator Kerry is a man who fought for our country half of a world away. He risked his own life so that others would not have to. He is a man of strong character and strong belief.

President George W. Bush is like you and me. I would like to have to coffee with him one day. Senator John Kerry is not like you or me. He is a man of extremely high intelligence and very strong belief.

He sometimes says things that he knows will be unpopular because he believes them. He also has decades of experience in government that will ensure that the transition from U.S. Senator to U.S. President is an easy one.

I don’t know about you but I do not want a man like me to be President, I want a man better than me to be President. I do not have the skills or knowledge necessary to run this country and influence global decisions and neither does our current President.

Senator Kerry was raised to be President of the United States. He has the policy knowledge that it takes to be a strong leader and diplomatic skills necessary to work with others to reach a common goal or purpose…what a concept.

Everyone cheered as he surrounded himself with men and women more intelligent than he. Crowds said what a bright man to surround himself with such strong advisors and intelligent people overall. However, he is much too dependent on these men — like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld to make his own decisions.

It should not be surprising that this country now has a policy under the current administration — an administration with very strong advisors, many of whom happen to be war hawks — particularly the two men I just mentioned.

Senator Kerry, on the other hand, is intelligent enough to have strong advisors who advise and not dictate to him.

It has been said that all jokes have some truth in them. Let’s look at Dick Cheney for a moment. Saturday Night Live, as well as the likes of Jay Leno and David Letterman, have cracked jokes about who is really running this country — Dick Cheney. Do you really want Dick Cheney running this country? I know I do not.

When you cast your vote next week, I implore you to vote for John Kerry for the Office of the Presidency of the United States of America.
