Bobcat facts

-Bobcat hunting was outlawed in Connecticut in the 1970’s.
-Bobcat colors vary, but are usually yellow or reddish brown with black spots and a white underside.
-Bobcat weight ranges from 15-50 lbs.
-Bobcats are primarily nocturnal animals, doing most of their hunting at night.
-Bobcats prey on rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and mice, but are strong enough to take down a deer in deep snow.
-Bobcats are polygamous, meaning they do not mate for life.
-Bobcat hunting is still allowed in some of New England.
