Guinness Book hopes rained out

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest game of tag involved 465 people–nothing insurmountable, professor Robert Halliday’s Management 210 class believed.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other ideas. At their planned time of Saturday at noon, a wet and chilly late morning left the class well short of 465.

Led by sophomore Kendall Keil, four people were given pinnies and deemed “it,” and a game of tag ensued for about two minutes before a winner was declared.

The event was chosen by the students for their task project management.

“The focus is on the social and emotional dynamics of people and working in teams,” Halliday said. “It’s a lot of fun and it’s a lot of work.”

With the end of the semester looming and time working against them, it is unlikely that Halliday and his class will attempt to break the record again.
