A person was reportedly injured after an “apparent fall” at Sleeping Giant State Park, according to News 8 WTNH, Monday afternoon, prompting a helicopter landing on Quinnipiac’s rugby field.
The person was treated on the scene and a helicopter was requested. The helicopter took off at about 2:04 p.m.
The person is reported to be a 23-year-old male who suffered injuries to the head and chest, according to CTPoliceLive.
The person went “up through Tunnel Ave. on the Red Circle Trail,” According to the scanner audio clip posted by CTPoliceLive.
Several Quinnipiac University Public Safety officers and local law enforcement were at the scene.
The Chronicle reached out to the university but they did not provide comment and directed any inquiries to Hamden emergency officials.
