Exactly four weeks after President Donald Trump fired former Director of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, he has dismissed yet another one of his cabinet members.
Today, he fired the United States Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Apparently, he’d been growing frustrated with her handling of the Epstein files. Haven’t we all? Though I think it’s for different reasons, regarding the files.
Bondi just sucked at hiding the fact that the president is a sexual abuser.
She was the same official who said the files were “sitting on (her) desk right now,” and the Department of Justice pretended that the files didn’t even exist a few months later. Uh oh! The Trump loyalist almost said something that almost got him caught. Not that it was hard in this case. I’m sure that was the first of many instances where Trump wasn’t happy with her.
As of December, Bondi’s approval rating was at 26%. So, it’s clear that many of us see that she’s an incompetent bootlicker. We were already toeing a very, very thin (basically nonexistent) line between justice and personal vendettas.
She and the president have been conducting numerous witch hunts against political and legal opponents, such as New York Attorney General Letitia James and the former Director of the FBI James Comey.
God forbid she actually get fired for corruption, as she should. No. The president fired her because she wasn’t corrupt enough. Trump believed she wasn’t coming down hard enough on political opposition.
The gag is, it’s not that she’s not trying, but when your whole team is lying, it’s hard to get the story straight, which is why so many people can find holes in the administration’s stories.
Trump posted on Truth Social that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will be stepping up to serve as the active Attorney General.
Blanche defended Trump during his 2024 criminal trial for business fraud in New York City. So, if anyone else has a vendetta against Trump’s legal rivals, in this case Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and former special counsel Jack Smith, it’s Blanche.
“There isn’t a single man or woman with a gun — a federal agent — still in that organization that had anything to do with the prosecution of President Trump,” Blanche bragged last week with the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC).
Sure, let’s punish those who were just doing their jobs instead of taking accountability. Apparently, anyone who puts the law over the president isn’t fit to be a federal employee — someone who is supposed to put the law above anything. Interesting.
It’s a reminder that we are straying away from government officials actually working for the law — working for us — and instead working for Trump.
That’s what Trump wants, and since he’s losing support quickly, he now needs to find a way to bring it back. So, if he’s not going to do it the ethical way (which we know he’s not), he’s going to need a better manipulator to gaslight and lie to the American people.
Enter Blanche.
While Noem got a few weeks in her position following the announcement that she was leaving, Bondi didn’t. Blanche is going to be replacing her right away, showing the desperation of this administration.
Some say that the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin will be the permanent choice to take over.
Quick rundown on his policies: he’s homophobic. He doesn’t support gay marriage and believes there should be an amendment that says marriage is between a man and a woman. He supports the death penalty. He also supports lessening the restrictions on firearms.
Those are just a few of his ideals. And he’s potentially going to be overseeing legal matters, leading the DOJ and legally advising the executive branch.
Not to mention, Blanche, and potentially Zeldin, are going to be handling the Epstein files.
The ones who are supposed to be bringing justice to the American people are deliberately being chosen to prevent it.
