Four players scored in double figures to lead the Quinnipiac men’s basketball team over Bryant University 83-72 in a Northeast Conference matchup Saturday at the TD Bank Sports Center.Jamee Jackson led all scorers for a career-high 21 points and had 9 rebounds, going 8-for-13 from the field.
“I kept being aggressive, kept playing hard on defense, and it will come. I kept playing hard on defense, and my teammates found me and it worked out,” Jackson said.

The Bobcats (3-4, 1-1 NEC) jumped out to an immediate start with two Ike Azotam layups. Quinnipiac never trailed the Bulldogs (1-8, 0-2) once.
“It was a good performance by us,” Moore said. “For us emotionally and confidence wise it was really good to see the ball go in the basket early in the game, we put 44 points up on the board fairly quickly.”
The Bobcats held their largest lead of the game with 4:12 left in the first half, leading the Bulldogs 42-14.
The Bulldogs responded quickly to the deficit going on a 14-3 run in the last two minutes of the half to cut the score to 47-33 to end the first half.
Quinnipiac held up their defensive effort in the second half, never letting the Bulldogs within 10 points of them.
The Bobcats were able to stop the Bulldogs from getting shots off inside the paint, forcing them to take outside shots. Half of Bryant’s offense came off of three-pointers.
“It’s great that we could get a win. We really needed this one,” said Moore.
The Bobcats return to action on Tuesday where they will travel to face the University of Hartford at 7 p.m.
