A record-breaking 3,000 people attended Midnight Madness at the TD Bank Sports Center Friday night. The Athletics Department deemed it to be the “best Midnight Madness yet.”
But the night also included a number of students who showed up for the free jersey and promptly left.
“I was very angry, disappointed, and hurt that there was about one hundred people who just grabbed their jersey and left,” Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald said. “I think what we are probably going to do is have people get cards when you get to the building, and just give them out at halftime. It’s very upsetting that three thousand people would come and that one hundred people would be so unspirited.”
