In the UConn Dogfight meet in Storrs, Conn. April 4, Quinnipiac outdoor track and field broke three program records.
Senior sprinter Nyasia Dailey added onto her history making campaign by capturing the program record for the fastest 100m sprint with 11.61 seconds, breaking a record she previously set by 0.04 seconds.
Graduate student distance runner Weronika Lewna also made history, setting the program record for fastest time in the 3000m event with 9:57.45, breaking a 15 year record and becoming the second Bobcat ever to finish the event with a time under 10 minutes.
Wrapping up the history made is the relay team of Dailey, sophomore sprinter Kiera Baxter, senior sprinters Michelle Tota and Izzie Anzaldo, who became the first relay team in Quinnipiac history to crack 46 seconds in the 4x100m relay with a final time of 45.95 seconds.
