President Lahey recently announced three personnel changes to the senior executive team for the university.  He says these changes will impact the school for the next 15 to 20 years, according to a press release sent by Associate Vice President for Public Relations John Morgan.

Lahey introduced these changes to the Quinnipiac community through a press release sent to the Quinnipiac community on June 20. The personnel changes include the addition of Gregory Eichhorn, who will be the Associate Vice President of Financial Aid and Admissions.

Along with establishing this newly created position, Eichorn will also serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, Senior Leadership Team and University Planning Council, according to the press release.

Eichorn is coming to Quinnipiac from Albright College. He has been at Albright since 1993, and has been their Vice President of Enrollment Management for the past 16 years.  

During his time at Albright, Eichhorn said the school became well known which increased enrollment and diversity.

Eichhorn was familiar with Quinnipiac because he said Vice President for Financial Aid and Admissions Joan Isaac Moore has been his mentor for a long time.

“After continually looking at the position and meeting people there, it became apparent that [Quinnipiac] is a great university that I would love to be affiliated with and honored to work for,” Eichhorn said.

Eichorn said he is eager to begin working at Quinnipiac.

“I’m very much looking forward to the blue and gold and being a bobcat, being on the campus full time, getting to know some students and immersing myself in the financial aid process,” he said.

Other personnel changes include Jean Husted , who was promoted to being the permanent Vice President of Human Resources. She was previously the interim Vice President of Human Resources. Husted will also continue to serve as Lahey’s Executive Associate, a position she has held for the past 18 years.

Keith Rhodes, the Vice President of Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications, who will also be joining the President’s Cabinet and the Senior Leadership Team, according to the press release. This group consists of Lahey’s vice presidents, according to the personnel section of the 2015-2016 Quinnipiac Catalog.

Student Government Association (SGA) sophomore class representative Joe Iasso is excited for Rhodes’ recognition.

“I hope [Rhodes’] modified role will allow him to not only further promote our school to the country, but also convince the Quinnipiac community that his office is moving in the right direction and only increasing the value of our degrees.” Iasso said.
