[Clarification: The lecture will take place in Burt Kahn Court]
Spike Lee, critically acclaimed director and producer, will speak on Feb. 11 in Burt Kahn Court, Quinnipiac announced earlier today.
Lee will deliver Quinnipiac’s annual Black History Month lecture. The lecture will not be open to the public, according to the release.
“The university expects a large turnout from the campus community for this lecture, which will take place in the gymnasium on the Mount Carmel Campus, and wants to make sure there is enough seating,” said Lynn Bushnell, vice president for public affairs.
The New York City director has gained national fame with such movies as “Malcolm X,” “Do The Right Thing,” and “Summer of Sam.”
Past Black History Month speakers include D.L. Hughley (2009) and Eugene Robinson (2010).
Lee recently spoke at the University of Texas about his latest project, “If God is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise.”

Solid point….when i hear spike lee i think “do the right thing” then i think new york knicks. spike would probably hate that.
