    Hill/Village/Complex RAs serve up greens

Rock bands Green Inside and Angry Salad performed live in Alumni Hall on Fri. March 2 for Quinnipiac students only. Resident Assistants from the Hill/Village/Complex staff organized and sponsored the event to fulfill service requirements and to provide entertainment to the campus.
Students could either donate canned goods or pay $1 admission. Donations were raised for local charities and organizations.
Local band Green Inside played a most impressive set. Although scattered audience members remained seated, they bobbed their heads and swayed to the energetic vibe.
The band mixed things up with the funky guitar riffs of “Twenty-something” and then slowed things down with the harmonies of “Madison.”
Green Inside is slated to appear at Quinnipiac again on March 31 and Apr. 8.
The lazy crowd finally rose to its feet when Angry Salad took the stage. Angry Salad, who opened for Sugar Ray at Quinnipiac in October of 1999, played several songs off their upcoming album that will be recorded at the end of this month.
The band also performed its hit single “The Milkshake Song” which always seems to be a fan favorite at Quinnipiac. Toward the end of the concert, lead singer Bob Whelan asked for requests from the audience.
The guys played an interesting rendition of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and the popular Jackson Five tune “I Want You Back.” They also did their version of the boy band *NSYNC`s dance on stage and later performed their own version of Celine Dion’s famous song from “Titanic.”
One of the more entertaining parts of the evening was when the band’s manager came on stage and played a plastic flute that the group picked up from its recent trip to Disney World. That was not the only antic that the group used. The manager also came on stage and shoved an entire banana down his throat.
