Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey saw three Bobcats enter the transfer portal Monday morning in freshman forward Ben Richie and defensemen freshman Logan McCutcheon and sophomore Drew Hockley.
Hockley, who left Quinnipiac in the middle of the season and went to the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League to play for the Shawinigan Cataractes, is no surprise in entering the portal, only appearing in nine games this season and failing to record a point.
Richie, in his first season in Hamden, played in 14 games, recording one goal and three assists. The Saskatchewan, Canada native’s lone goal of the season would come in the Bobcats 6-1 loss to Cornell Feb. 20.
McCutcheon, who is also in his first season in Hamden, saw nine games of action, recording two assists, with both coming in the Bobcats 7-0 win over St. Lawrence Jan. 30.
