Braden Peters, better known online as “Clavicular,” is the modern example of a young male in peak condition — according to the impressionable young men who follow his every move.
Clavicular was born in Hoboken, N.J., in 2005. In 2025, he became popular for his streaming content on Kick, Instagram and TikTok LIVE. On social media, he shares his personal journey attempting to upgrade himself by “looksmaxxing.”
This process includes injecting himself with testosterone, using appetite suppressing peptides and “bonemashing” daily: hitting areas on the face with blunt objects to reshape bone structure.
Though Clavicular has no official medical training or education (being expelled from Sacred Heart University in 2025), he promotes
self-administered steroid use and can even be seen using needles on himself and friends in his streams. There is also speculation about potential methamphetamine use, as Clavicular has made jokes online about its role in “looksmaxxing.”
While explaining his habits on The Adam Friedland Show, Clavicular said, “…the first thing that I do is testosterone…the next thing is
going to be a GLP-1 agonist, so I use something similar to Ozemepic called Retatrutide and that’s a peptide that basically suppresses my appetite, making it difficult to eat…because being lean is about 70% of what you can accomplish in terms
of looksmaxxing.”
His circle, fans and other men, a part of this community, use their own dictionary of language to describe these processes to each other. “Looksmaxxing” and “bonemashing” being just the beginning. Adding “maxxing” to the end of any verb or “mog” are popular terms used to separate “Chads” from “normies.”
Long before Clavicular’s additions, the Physical Score Level (PSL scale) has circulated forums since the mid-2010s. The scale analyzes an individual’s facial harmony and labels them anywhere in between “sub 3” and “Stacy” or “Chad.”
However, Clavicular has a different approach to the PSL scale. He claims, though the inspiration for enhancing appearance originated there, “looksmaxxing” is not that black and white.
In his interview with Friedland, Clavicular said, “I don’t really try to categorize my looks, I just want to look better, it’s the message…
for some reason people are so goddamn obsessed with figuring out the rating, (they) ask me for a rating, but dude just look better. That’s all you need to worry about.”
His explanation is based on the idea that there is not a definitive end to “looksmaxxing,” no final form “maxxers” will be able to
achieve. So when does it end? At what point have Clavicular and his most extreme fans hammered their faces to completion or self-
administered enough testosterone?
Despite his dislike for rating others, this doesn’t stop Clavicular from commenting on women’s features on his livestreams while out at various clubs and bars. Clips of him degrading recessed maxilla or praising someone’s positive canthal tilt are everywhere online.
Beyond the messages Clavicular circulates among his impressionable audience, he has also been recorded making racist, antisemitic
and comments about violence towards women. The most absurd part? There is virtually no backlash. Whether because his audience truly believes Clavicular’s claims to be satirical or thanks to his looks, Clavicular’s platform and his influence have remained intact.
After running over a pedestrian on live in 2025, Clavicular was suspended from streaming on Kick. As of March 2026, he has been banned from Kick following his arrest in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There, he was arrested for a warrant for misdemeanor battery after provoking a fight between two women and recording himself shooting a dead alligator.
Currently, it’s not clear whether the ban will be permanent or not, and Clavicular continues to stream on other platforms, post on social media and is still given praise online.
His fame makes it possible for him to promote unsafe habits to reform bodies. Clavicular’s behavior online also normalizes racist and
prejudiced hate that viewers accept.
Even those who disagree with Clavicular’s stances tend to avoid watching his content. When spotted in person, many women still flock to Clavicular, looking for his rating. Women who claim to approach him ironically are still providing him with content for his social media.
Clavicular continues to produce videos and live streams for his audiences. There is no telling how far he might be willing to go for his looks. Already, Clavicular expresses his interest in various cosmetic surgeries he’d like to have done. Friends closest to Clavicular featured on his streams are also following in his looksmaxxing footsteps.
