Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey head coach Rand Pecknold was named an ECAC Coach of the Year Finalist Wednesday, per the Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey Instagram.
Pecknold is in his 32nd season with the Bobcats, while also being the winningest coach in Quinnipiac Athletics history, with 692 wins.
This season, Pecknold coached his team to its historic sixth consecutive Cleary Cup, being the only team to win six straight regular-season titles in one league and the second-longest streak in NCAA men’s Division I hockey history.
He also coached this year’s squad to an overall record of 26-9-3, while finishing ECAC regular-season play 17-4-1.
