Former Quinnipiac women’s soccer forward Courtney Chochol ‘25 signed a professional contract with Wexford FC in the League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division.
In her five years with the Bobcats’ program, Chochol set the single game assist record at four, as well as Quinnipiac’s Division I single season assist record at 14.
The Alliston, Ontario native set the standard for Quinnipiac forwards during the team’s three straight trips to the MAAC Championship, earning All-MAAC First Team honors from 2022-2024.
In her program record setting season in 2023, Chochol would lead the Bobcats in goals, assists and points, earning NCAA Division I All-Region Third Team and NEWISA All-New England Team. In the MAAC playoffs, she would be the Bobcats’ lone goal-scorer, netting the deciding goals in 1-0 victories against the Rider Broncs and Fairfield Stags. The stellar postseason performance would earn her 2023 MAAC Championship MVP in her senior season.
Chochol remains the Bobcats’ most recent winner of the MAAC Golden Boot, earning the award in her senior season.
In her fifth season, she would earn All-New England Second Team honors, leading the Bobcats in goals with seven and points with 21.
After graduation, Chochol spent time playing for South Georgia Tormenta FC in the United Soccer League (USL) W League, a pre-professional league that allows players to retain amateur status while continuing to get on-field reps.
After a season with Tormenta FC, she continued to play semi-professional soccer in her home province of Ontario as a member of Simcoe County Rovers FC in the League1 Ontario Premier League. Chochol and the Rovers would go on to win their first ever League1 Ontario title before making history as the first League1 Ontario team to win the Women’s Inter-Provincial Championship.
Chochol’s new club, Wexford FC, went 13-2-7 in the League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division in 2025. The squad’s 41 points positioned them fourth in the league.
Chochol’s season with Wexford begins on Saturday, March 14 at Waterford FC. Kick-off is set for 3 p.m., local time.
