Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey’s freshman forward Ethan Wyttenbach has been named ECAC’s Rookie of the Month, along with the Hockey Commissioners’ Association’s Rookie of the Month.
The Roslyn, N.Y. native leads the team in assists with 14, along with eight goals to start his freshman campaign.
Wyttenbach opened up the 2025-26 season with a point in his first seven games. Since then, he now holds an eight-game point streak, recording four points in the Bobcats’ 7-6 win over Holy Cross on Nov. 26.
Along with being named Rookie of the Month, Wyttenbach holds the longest active game point streak in the nation, the most games with a point of any player in the country, with 15, and the most points of any first-year player in the country, with 22.

Ethan is a remarkable, talented young man, on the ice, in the communiy, with his family and friends, but most of all in everyday ordinary life. We look forward to following his promising career and rooting him on !
