Men’s ice hockey senior defenseman Charlie Leddy has set a program record with the highest plus-minus through the first 12 games by a defenseman in Division I Bobcat history, at a +13.
As of publication, Leddy has three assists and one goal in 12 games played in the 2025-26 campaign. He further appears as a top defenseman for the Bobcats, partnered with a freshman Graham Sward, while also appearing alongside sophomore Elliot Groenewold.
“I came here (Quinnipiac) and, you know, I started putting my head down and kept working and working and working and working, you know, and it kind of built me back up as this person, and my confidence and my hockey abilities,” Leddy said in a pre-season press conference.
The Fairfield, Connecticut native is in his second season in Hamden, previously competing as a Boston College Eagle.
In his two collegiate seasons with the Eagles, Leddy appeared in 72 games, tallying 15 points with 13 assists.
Since stepping into Hamden, Leddy has taken a great leadership role for the Bobcats on and off the ice. In his junior campaign, he recorded one goal and 10 assists, for 11 points on the season, being a top-four Bobcat in the defensemen rotation.
In his senior season, Leddy rocks the “A” on his Quinnipiac threads, a demonstration of his hard working mentality, leadership style and drive to help those around him.
“You have to have that leadership qualities of people want to follow you, you know, not just because you’re good at something that generally want to believe in you and what you’re teaching or applying,” Leddy said.
