    Campus stands as one

Words of hate and acts of violence have resulted in an emotionally bruised campus early this fall semester. However, one significant day brought students and faculty together in an attempt to heal wounds.

A Day of Unity and Prayer took place on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. on the QUAD. Hundreds of students came together to take a stand against the acts that have been committed on campus.

The event was put together by sophomore occupational therapy major Keniel McLennon and Director of Multicultural Affairs Tyrone Black. Other speakers include David Ives, Rabbi Rena Judd, Father John Kalisch, Dr. Carriero, Student Government President Sean Geary, Student Diversity Board Co-Chairs Victoria Lucas and Meghan Trull and freshman Valencia Constant. The tagline developed for the event, “We are Quinnipiac and we stand as one,” encouraged a feeling of harmony. A sheet is hanging outside the student center for students to write on and express their feelings.
