NFL Football Player Ray Rice was recently released from the Baltimore Ravens after video footage surfaced of him hitting his wife in an elevator. Students shared their opinions on Ray Rice and the way the NFL handled the situation.
“I think it’s great that the NFL’s finally stepping up to the game and they’re taking the correct measures in order to deal with abuse within the players, and especially the Ravens because they’ve had so many issues, especially with Ray Lewis when he was convicted of that murder and they just kind of put it underneath the carpet. Just ‘cause they’re athletes doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be held responsible for their actions, especially at the law level.” -Gigi Kourepenos, sophomore
