Let’s talk about sex

Q: Do you think college students are taking the right precautions when it comes to safe sex?

Holland-for-webMatt Eisenberg

A: College students have many decisions to make when they decide to have sex. Pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and feelings are all important considerations to think about prior to engaging in sexual activity. Student Health Services is available to provide sexual health education, women’s gynecological services and STI testing and treatment to QU students. [Student Health Services] can also help with finding resources off campus.

Q: Can long distance relationships really work?

A: Long distance relationships, as all relationships, require time and patience from both partners. Technology, in particular the Internet with its email and social media websites, may allow couples advantages in communication, a vital component of relationships.

Q: Does sex actually relieve stress?

A: Lots of muscles tense and release during sex which can lead to relaxation and a feeling of well-being. Having sex also releases endorphins and other “feel good” substances in your brain.
