If students give a toy or gift card with a value of $10 or more, Public Safety will waive their parking ticket. Public Safety launched a holiday toy drive with Hamden Community Services, the Hamden Fire Department and the Hamden Police Department. Public Safety is looking to receive gifts for children ages zero to 16. They are hoping students will get movie passes, gift certificates and gift cards for older children. Unwrapped toys can be turned in to the Department of Public Safety with the student’s name, parking ticket and QU ID number attached. The holiday toy drive runs until Dec. 6 and students can participate, regardless of if they have received a parking ticket.
