Frosh reps swap positions on SGA

Freshmen Class President Lauren Giolitti resigned this month for personal reasons, resulting in adjustments for the other freshman SGA members.

Lisa Jordan, former freshmen class vice president, will take over for Giolitti for the rest of the semester.

“Being on [SGA] does keep you busy. Sometimes I have two meetings a day,” Jordon, a freshman advertising major, said. “It is a lot of work, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

Former Class Representative Patrick Ippolito will replace Jordan as vice president.

“[VP] is a great honor and I know that this position will allow for some great development of myself as well as for the freshman class,” Ippolito, a business undeclared major, said.

There are two new representatives for the freshman class. Steven Kline, a biology [pre-med] major, and Steven Altmann who are eager to work with the freshman class.

“I think it is an honor and a privilege to serve my classmates and peers,” Kline said.

Kline transferred to Quinnipiac University from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina this semester.

“Everyone on [SGA] is very nice and willing to help me learn everything I need to know,” Kline said.

Altmann is looking forward to bridging gaps and becoming a great asset to SGA.

“I feel that this is one way which I can reach out to the entire freshman class and help them by working with an organization committed to helping students,” Altmann, a political science major, said.

“I always have an open ear and I’m already talking to a lot of students about some major concerns and possible ways in which the student government can help alleviate them. I’m here for all the students and I will do my absolute best to help in any and every way that I possibly can,” Altmann said.
