    New and old combine

    The fall TV line up is packed with new shows as well as your old favorites. The fall premieres kick off in mid-September with returning shows like 7th Heaven, Friends, The Bachelor, Gilmore Girls and newcomers Miss Match, Whoopi, Wanda at Large, Joan of Arcadia, and I’m With Her.

    New on the WB this fall is Fearless, staring Rachel Leigh Cook (Devon on Dawson’s Creek) and premiering mid-season. This Jerry Bruckheimer drama features a young FBI agent born without fear. Also in the cast is Bianca Lawson (Nikki Green on Dawson’s Creek), Eric Balfour (Warren on Dawson’s Creek) and Ian Sommerhalder (Hamilton on Young Americans).

    Older WB favorites returning this fall are 7th Heaven, premiering September 15 at 8pm, Gilmore Girls premiering September 23 at 8pm, and Smallville premiering October 1 at 9pm.

    Miss Match will air Fridays this fall on NBC starring Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) and producerd by Darren Star (Sex and the City, Melrose Place), and Jeff Rake (The Practice). Silverstone stars as Kate Fox, a divorce attorney in Los Angeles with a knack for matchmaking. Follow Fox’s ability to juggle divorce and true love on this new series.

    Also new on NBC is Whoopi, starring Whoopi Goldberg, which premieres September 8 at 8pm. In this comedy, Mavis Ray (Goldberg) is a hotel owner/former singer who has her brother Courtney (Wren T. Brown) move in with her after his employer, Enron, has a financial hold-up.

    NBC’s most beloved group of Friends returns for its tenth and final season September 25 at 8pm. Plans are currently in the works for next year’s spin-off, Joey, which will focus on the life of Matt LeBlanc’s character, Joey Tribbiani.

    Wanda At Large premieres on FOX September 19, staring Wanda Sykes. Wanda Hawkins (Sykes) is hired as a political correspondent on a Washington, DC radio talk show. Watch as her blunt nature causes havoc for the talk show’s conservative spokesman Bradley (Phil Morris).

    CBS’s Joan of Arcadia premieres September 26 at 8pm, starring Joe Mantegna (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Last Don), Mary Steenburgen (Melvin and Howard, Living with the Dead) and Amber Tamblyn (The Ring). This drama involves a teenage daughter who has startling conversations with God. Teenager Joan (Tamblyn) keeps meeting to random people that introduce themselves as God.

    Other members of the Girardi family include her mom Helen (Steenburgen), police chief father Will (Mantegna), brother Luke (Michael Welch), and older brother Kevin (Jason Ritter) who is wheelchair bound due to a car accident. The show follows Joan as she starts to answer some of God’s directions.

    I’m With Her, ABC’s new comedy premieres Tuesdays this fall at 8:30pm. Based upon Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy’s real-life marriage, this romantic comedy stars Teri Polo, Rhea Seehorn, Danny Comden, and David Sutcliffe. I’m With Her helps to prove that nice guys don’t always finish last.
