The world’s largest collection of visual art and artifacts based on the Irish Famine found its new home on 3011 Whitney Ave. Quinnipiac University President John L. Lahey announced on Monday, Sept. 10, that Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum, artworks by An Ghorta Mór, will open to the public on Oct. 11. Dedication Day on Friday, Sept. 28, will mark the museum’s official opening, after a week-long program of cultural events and lectures.
