McCreedy’s three assists in the game tied Quinnipiac’s single-season and career assist records. Her 12th assist of the season tied the single-season record, set by current assistant coach Jaime Cassesse. McCreedy’s assist came asthe Bobcats’ (9-7, 3-2 NEC) sixth goal of the game.
McCreedy’s assist was her 24th career, which tied her with Courtney Ryan (‘03) for the most in Quinnipiac’s history.
Kaitlyn Notarianni’s goal at 25:54 of the first half put the Bobcats up 3-0. With the goal, Notarianni became the seventh player in program history to reach the 50-point mark.
Later in the game Cunniff became the eighth player in program history to accomplish the same milestone when she scored at 8:24 of the second half to make it 5-1 in favor of the Bobcats.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half with goals from Maria Malonoski, Danielle Allan, Kaitlyn Notarianni, and Jessica Portal. Siena’s Kelly Johansmeyer cut the lead to 4-1 before halftime.
Cunniff added two goals in the second half to finish off Siena, 6-1.
The Bobcats return to action on Sunday when they host Bryant at noon in Hamden.
Prior to the game the team will celebrate Senior Day as Cunniff, Notarianni, McCreedy, Malonoski, and Ashley Gradwell will be honored.
