Since the attacks on Sept. 11, there was a question as to whether or not the C.I.A. knew about the possibility of this attack. What if someone had known for over 400 years that disaster lurked around the corner?
Michel De Nostradmus, a French scholar, poet and doctor, became one of the most widely recognized psychics in history. His prophecies have been called the most amazing forecasts of future events for centuries. He used his techniques to develop and study planetary cycles which may have developed his clairvoyance.
These prophecies have been debated by experts since their discovery. But many still have a startling resemblance on events that unfolded long after Nostradamus’ death centuries ago. These prophecies have a familiar ring for anyone who knows elementary history.
1. Prophecy: “Alas for women and for refugees!
A hundred thousand dead you fate decrees:
Alas for all who think the city safe!
Alas for widow and alas for waif.”
Possible event:
The bombing of Poland by the Nazi’s?
2. Prophecy:
At last the mighty tyrant bites the dust
After long years of hideous cruelty ,
At last the monster dies, as monsters must:
Alone, untended shall his passing be. Possible event:
The death of Hitler and the fall of the Nazi regime?
3. Prophecy: “Safe though their vessel seemed when they set out,
Disaster shall their mission undermine: Aquarius shall turn their course about and bring them back to earth amid the brine.”
Possible event: The explosion of the space shuttle challenger in 1984?
4. Prophecy: The mighty vessel, proud to be at sea and pressing ever onward through the night.
Running on obstacles where none should be,
Shall sink, up-ended, long before the light. Possible event:
The sinking of the Titanic?
Many believe that these prophecies have no credibility and that they are vague enough to mean anything. Yet there is enough of a resemblance to capture the attention of the world. Since the attacks, many more prophecies have emerged. Not all of them were by Nostradamus.
There are several prophecies floating around but may not be genuine.
“In the city of God there will be a great thunder, two brothers torn apart by chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the big city is burning.
On the eleventh day of the ninth month that two metal birds would crash into two tall statues in the new city and the world will end soon after.”
This was supposedly written by Nostradamus in 1654, but he died in 1566. Also it is not inside his book. Also the two steel birds are not mentioned.
The only prophecy that resembles the possibility of the attack upon a nation is the twenty-seventh quatrain (4 line verse) in the third century.
5. Prophecy:
The year 1999, seventh month,
From the sky will come a great king of terror:
To bring back the great king of the Mongols,
Before and after mars to reign by good luck.
Possible event:
Sept. 11 attack upon the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?
Whether or not the end of the world will come today, tomorrow or never is unknown.
