Becoming Editor in Chief of The Chronicle was not in my plans when I came to Quinnipiac as a freshman. But the incredible experiences, memories and relationships I’ve formed are something I will carry with me far into my future.

There are countless people who deserve a big “Thank You” both from me and from the entire staff of The Chronicle, but to name them all would take pages. A special thanks is in order to Professor Margarita Diaz, who guided us from beginning to end, acted as a mentor to me, ate lots of pizza with us and somehow managed to catch every little typo imaginable before we went to print each week.

Another person whom The Chronicle could not have functioned without is our dedicated Managing Editor, Doug Manners, who spent many a weekend night with me in our office diligently correcting proofs, commiserating and acting as my right arm in all decision-making.

This year, more than ever, The Chronicle strived to cover more news and harder news to bring the best quality product to the Quinnipiac community possible. We hope that we succeeded in this endeavor. Your feedback meant so much to us and we appreciated all of the compliments and complaints we recieved from our toughest critics, the readers.

The professors in the School of Communications (in addition to many other faculty and staff members) were especially supportive both to me and to the newspaper as a whole. For that, I cannot thank you all enough.

Finally, thank you to the entire staff of The Chronicle. You should be truly proud of your accomplishments this year. You exceeded my expectations and helped make the The Chroncile what it is today.

Whether we were making a splash with controversial stories or simply entertaining and informing our readers with fun features, we hope you enjoyed the ride with us this year as much as we enjoyed riding with you. Good luck and keep reading. Cheers!
