NED LAMONT, (upper right) the Democratic candidate in the U.S. Senate race in Connecticut, arrived on campus Thursday to debate Republican candidate Alan Schlesinger (lower right) in an hour-long televised debate. The debate was held in the television studio in the School of Communications and televised live on Fox 61, WTIC-TV. On Wednesday, 2000 Green party presidential candidate Ralph Nader (above) spoke about the state of American political culture.
