‘Spot stalkers’ search for prey

“I’m watching you, I’m following your every move.”

No this is not the opening line to a scary movie or an episode of “Are You Afraid of the Dark.”

This is an even scarier scenario: North Lot.

Everyday, students are stalked for their parking spot in the coveted commuter parking lot.

There is however, a correct way of going about this.

Instead of slowly following your prey through the parking lot, a la “slow speed chase from ‘Cops,'” roll down your window and ask the person if they are leaving or grabbing a book for the next class.

Do not ask your prey if they want a ride. This seems like a bad after-school special about a child getting abducted by a man looking for his lost dog.

Just because you are in a rush to get to class doesn’t mean someone else has to hurry up. Lack of planning on your part is not an emergency for everyone.

Please do not sit idiling in front of the gym because this causes a traffic jam.

Be courteous to fellow commuters. We are all in the same lot. A little understanding can go a long way.

When the “Lot full” sign is out, the lot is full. Go to Hogan Road, or the university’s newest solution: The law school lawn.

A side note for the university. Allow parking in the outfield of the baseball field. That would be a fun tailgate.
