As a recipe for student satisfaction, Chartwells marketing department developed a website customized to meet Quinnipiac’s needs.
The site includes weekly menus for the Bobcat Den and Cafe Q, meal plan information, catering specials, information about job opportunities with Chartwells and a monthly calendar of events.
A list of dining service contacts, feedback, nutritional information, information about Chartwells in the community and news and events regarding Dining Services are also posted to keep students informed.
Photographs of students during events such as the ‘Chicken Chow Down Challenge,’ which raised over $1000 for Habitat for Humanity, can be found on the site, as well as themed menu items promoting diversity.
The website is updated weekly at the University offices.
Chartwells manages the site and provides the necessary information, such as frequently asked questions, to answer student concerns.
“This website is designed to provide another outlet for feedback from the Quinnipiac community, as well as provide information on dining service programs and menus,” Leean Spalding, associate director of Dining Services, said.
“This website is also a useful tool for prospective students,” Spalding added.
Spalding said students have provided comments through the feedback section of the website. The comments about food and food service are acted upon, and Chartwells responds if the student provides an address.
“The website has proved to be an effective way to communicate to students,” Spalding said.
Although there is a link on the Quinnipiac website, Spalding hopes to have the website listed as a link on QU Daily.
“This website is another way to get information out to the Quinnipiac community and this can only help us to keep our customers satisfied,” Spalding said.
