Welcome to Quinnipiac: What we wish we knew as first-year students
September 7, 2021
Every college student learns many lessons throughout their first semester, but some are better taken in the form of advice rather than a lived experience. The Chronicle’s editorial board knows it — we were first-years too. We think it’s important to pass on some of the lessons we learned.
"Join a club. It's been the best decision I've made here as someone who never joined one in high school. But since that may come across as an advertisement, be organized. Have a Google Doc of your classes, deadlines or just something to keep yourself on schedule. It's easy to let assignments fall through the cracks when you don't have a way to quickly check what's due."
