Professor Michele Moore has been appointed to the position of interim associate dean in the School of Communications.
Although Moore is new to the position, she is not new to the School of Communications. Moore graduated with a masters in e-media from Quinnipiac in 2002.
As an adjunct professor, Moore has taught several courses at Quinnipiac including media communications and several public relations courses.
“As an interim associate dean, I have a great opportunity to learn a lot about the university and the administration department,” Moore said. “It is a wonderful chance to work with students on a different level than before and learn as much as I can.”
Moore is also very involved in the School of Communications internship program.
As well as teaching public relations campaigning this semester, Moore advises students and aids other members of the School of Communications faculty.
“I am very glad to have Michele joining our administrative team as interim associate dean,” said David Donnelly, dean of the School of Communications.
“As a long- time adjunct in communications, she earned a solid reputation as a popular and dedicated teacher. She will make an outstanding contribution to the school and I am pleased she has joined our team.”
Moore urges students in the School of Communications to always be aware of current events.
“Take advantage of the opportunity to explore different areas of communication because it is a really exiting field. Prepare yourself academically and take the time to stay sharp with the rapidly changing current events,” Moore said.
