A Quinnipiac University student was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 30, after police searched his vehicle and found large quantities of drugs.
Zachary Roberts, a sophomore undeclared business major, was charged with possession of hallucinogens, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of narcotics, according to a press release from the Hamden Police Department.
Police say they responded to a call at Quinnipiac regarding a student that was in possession of drugs.
The release said that searching Roberts’s vehicle led police to find 45.3 grams of marijuana, 11 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 9.4 grams of cocaine and 26 Xanax pills.
Roberts is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 13.
